there's some info here in the kiara core docs (on github), but as they say, they aren't entirely up to date. I think this page/section probably wants to include most of that information.
this section probably should be driven by markus, with the rest of the team asking clarifying questions?
Maybe different separate pages are useful too, addressing the concepts behind the kiara data store, the idea of workflows
